NAKFI Alumni Chad A. Mirkin and Bruce R. Rosen Elected to the Institute of Medicine

The Institute or Medicine recently elected 65 new members, including two NAKFI Alumni: Chad A. Mirkin, PhD director, International Institute for Nanotechnology; George B. Rathmann Professor of Chemistry; and professor of chemical and biological engineering, biomedical engineering, materials science and engineering, and medicine, department of chemistry, Northwestern University, Chicago; and Bruce R. Rosen, MD, PhD, professor of radiology and health sciences and technology, Harvard Medical School, and director, Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. 

NAKFI Alum Chad A. Mirkin participated on the NAKFI Nanoscience Steering Committee, which focused on: The future of nanomedicine; the cell-nanomachine interface; and design, generation, and manufacturing of new nanomachines and nanosystems. Bruce R. Rosen developed a preconference webcast tutorial on Multimodal Functional Imaging for the 2010 NAKFI Conference on Imaging Science.
