Clifford Nass (Ph.D., Princeton University, Sociology) is the Thomas M. Storke Professor of Communication at Stanford University. He has appointments in communication; computer science; education; law; science, technology, and society; sociology; and symbolic systems. He is the author of three books--The Media Equation, Wired for Speech, and The Man Who Lied to His Laptop--and over 125 papers in the psychology of human-technology interaction and statistical methodology. He is Director of the Communication between Humans and Interactive Media (CHIMe) Lab and the Revs Program at Stanford.
